The year might be over but the troubles that occurred were caused by humans and unless humans solve them, they won’t go away. Let’s not blame the year for what we don’t want to face.
Viruses long predate multi-cellular life, and came on the scene not long after eukaryotes. Maybe before then. Maybe you need a longer perspective?
On the other hand, Macarena! That is always appropriate.
