At MileHiCon
by wjw on October 23, 2020
I am at MileHiCon this weekend, at least in virtual. The guests of honor Rebecca Roanhorse, Mur Lafferty, Cory Doctorow, and artist Alan Pollack. It’s a full weekend with lots of programming and begins at 10am Friday, Mountain Time.
Here’s my schedule:
Fri, 1:00-2:00pm: Neverland – Planning Your Series
You have an idea – and it’d make a great trilogy, or longer! Now what? Join our panelists as they discuss how to successfully plan and plot a series that your readers will be excited about and continue to be excited about – meaning you do actually get to write book 4 (or 11).
Jeffe Kennedy (M), Corry Lee, Juli Rew, Ted Weber, Walter Jon Williams, Bill VanCleave (ZH)
Fri, 4:00-5:00pm: Klatsch – Kaffeeklatsch w/ Walter Jon Williams
Join author Walter Jon Williams for a small group zoom conversation.
Walter Jon Williams (M)
Sun, 2:30: Gallifrey – Setting As Character
From a windswept planet of alien vistas to the grand canyon – settings can be just as much of a character in a tale as the characters themselves. Hear three takes on settings that are characters of their own.
Lauren Teffeau, Steve Rasnic Tem, Walter Jon Williams
I’ve also pre-recorded a reading, which will debut sometime Sunday afternoon.
Come say hi! It’ll be fun!
