I’m confused. I thought “Fleet Elements” was going to be the follow-up to “The Accidental War”. But that edition statement makes me wonder if this is instead a “fix-up” (bless you, A.E. van Vogt) of Investments & Impersonations.
That version of the cover has some elements which have since been corrected. It is in fact the followup to “The Accidental War,” so you’re good.
I’d actually like to do a fixup of “Impersonations” and “Investments,” but Tor has the rights to one and not the other, so it can’t be done.
Brendan, I found it on Amazon just by typing the title into their search field. What you won’t find is the cover, which apparently hasn’t been finalized yet.
Hah. I began reading the accidental war a few days ago and was disheartened when I started googling for news on another book in the series.
And I literally just finished reading it, and for some reason I decided to check back in here, and to my pleasant surprise I see this announcement. 😀
Impeccable timing good sir, impeccable timing indeed.
You can have my money when I find a way to get it to sweden.
Nope, still no love. I searched “Dread Empire’s Fall” and “Fleet Elements”, couldn’t find it either way. I found the book’s Goodreads Page, which had a link, but that link led picture of a Labradoodle and a “Sorry, we couldn’t find that page.”
Anyway, I don’t mean to bug you about it, it’s just that the Post was about preordering, and at this point, I can’t. I’m certainly not blaming you, Amazon will do what it does, but I figured you’d probably want to know that there’s an issue with the preordering capability.
Please add a link? I can’t find it on Amazon.
“Author’s Definitive Edition”.

Whatever, I’ll purchase it anyway.

Tor wouldn’t be willing to allow it? Maybe I am ignorant on these matters. Do they really profit by not allowing this?
Adding another comment. I did find the book on Amazon for pre-order. Already ordered. I could easily read 10 more of these books.

Okay, Brendan, here’s a link that works for me:

Cool! When will it be out? Hm… December 8 2020 according to the above link.
Right. Pre-order done.
