Ahem. Big announcement here.
I have sold the new novel, Implied Spaces, for, umm, “the largest advance ever offered by Night Shade Books.”
There. I think I said that right.

Congrats to Nightshade then. I’m sure it will do very well. You’re my favorite author, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that assessment.
Coherent, my sincere thanks.
Would it be possible for you to clone yourself a few million times? Thank you.
Ho. Hum.
Now, an announcement that I could today purchase Implied Spaces — that would be a big announcement!
[P.S. Congratulations!]
That’s great. Any teaser’s you’d like to give us about the novel? Plot? Setting? I’m with Dave. I’d buy it today if it were available.
I would sell it to you today if it were possible.
I’ll take a look through what I’ve written so far and see if I can post a brief teaser.
Have you thought of doing any more Amazon shorts? I enjoyed “The Stickpin” as a nice complement to the Dread Empire series. But I’m not sure if you get enough return on it to make it worth your while.
That’s great!
I looked on the Amazon short as publicity for the series, not as a moneymaker. But it seems to have sold briskly enough to repay my investment of time, which admittedly was only something like a day and a half.
I think I wrote it while I was teaching Clarion last year, juggling the writing in between manuscript critiques, lectures, student assessments, writing for Last Call Poker, and pain meds (I was recently out of surgery).
As for whether I’d do another— well, they’d have to ask me first.
Hey, congratulations on the good news!
Love, C
Looking forward to it, Walter!
