Here’s the cover of the City on Fire re-issue, again by Hugo-winning artist Elizabeth Leggett. (And I just this minute noticed a problem with it. Anyone else see it?)
There have been a number of my books that were difficult to illustrate. I was never satisfied with the covers on the original hardbacks or on the ebooks I issued myself, but now I have Leggett art for every one of them.
I am deeply pleased with the way this one looks. (Except for that one thing, fortunately fixable.)
Truncated family name, missing an “i”. Should be easy to fix!
Are there any text changes in the reissues?
Looking forward to the sequel!
I always thought Constantine had a ponytail, though I may have made that up. Byronic figures should have Byronic hair.
Since I already have both of these I can’t buy them again. But do you have a sense of when the third book will emerge for readers? I can hardly wait! (No pressure)
mdinh, there’s no way of telling. The book is not under contract at present, I’m writing it on spec. After I finish, I’ll try to find a publisher for the whole series, and if I can’t, I’ll publish it myself. But it’s impossible to create a timeline.
And yes, Constantine had a braid. But Constantine in this picture has a cool jacket. So yay.
Typo aside, fantastic cover- I like that the city has presence here.
