I’m lucky. Mostly it’s like a bad cold. My head is stuffed, and I have coughing and sneezing fits. I can function and perform basic tasks. I didn’t sleep well last night, and I don’t have a lot of energy.
But there’s no fever. My O2 levels are 91+. I still have an appetite, and I can taste what I eat.
My heart rate was over 100, but then I reflected that I’ve been dosing on sudafed, which is basically speed. So that explains that.
Kathy’s still out of town, so I don’t have to worry about infecting her.
I found a bag of wild-caught Gulf shrimp, and so I’ve been participating in a seafood extravaganza. So far this week I’ve cooked shrimp Diane, Thai steamed shrimp, and curried shrimp. I’ve had poached branzino twice.
Tonight will be shrimp korma. And I think I’ll be able to taste it just fine.
So very relieved to learn you’re doing OK and that your case is overall mild. Wishing you a swift and complication-free recovery and no long COVID.
FWIW, my daughter had a breakthrough infection back in September, and elevated heartrate was one of her symptoms. She, unfortunately, has long COVID, and it’s taking some time for her heartrate to come down.
Get better soon. Sounds like you’re reasonably “lucky” with this case.
Glad you’re doing well. I hope you get better soon.
