I’m on the road, looking for America or the world’s best BBQ or maybe just lightin’ out for the territory.
Kathy’s decided to remodel the kitchen, which will involve about a month’s worth of destruction, construction, inconvenience, and noise. I found myself unable to work, eat, or sleep, and so I’m going on a road trip till it’s all over.
Today’s journey took me east by north across a whole lot of two-lane blacktop. The car is doing well.
The advantage of so much featureless landscape is that the cloudscapes are pretty tremendous, with a lot of Jesus Rays beaming down from the sky.
The disadvantage is that there isn’t much to look at. But I plan to remedy that soon.
“Hums the YES song America”
If your journey happens to bring you to Maryland, I promise to show you where the GOOD crabcakes can be found. 🙂
In any case, smooth travels and may adventure & inspiration find you.
I’m not going to ask why that couldn’t have been done when you were at Taos…
On the other hand… road trip!
Just in case… you *can* get sunburned through auto glass. If you haven’t been spending time outside this summer, you might want to apply a little sunblocker to your face and left arm.
The remodel was started when I was in Taos. But it isn’t over, and won’t be till August.
And yes . . . ROAD TRIP!!!
So, are you listening to music or audiobooks, or are you just zoned out behind the wheel, working on your next story?
Hopefully your road trip takes you to Spokane next month for WorldCon.
