When I was in the hospital for my few brief hours of day surgery, I got a head cold.
So I’m recovering not only from surgery (which is going just fine, thank you for asking), but I’m recovering from a cold at the very same time.
Kathy pointed out that I might as well save time and recover from both things at once. That may be true, but I am not consoled.
Why I’m Slow This Week

Drink lots of spicy hot chicken soup and get lots of rest. Keep hydrated and get well soon.
One more thing, griping and complaining does help even if Kathy tells you that it does not. 🙂
Don’t forget to keep a surgical diary. Write down your meds and your surgical times. The number one preventable cause of death in hospitals is incorrect medication caused by misidentifying patients.
You got at least another 3 Dread Empire books in you, so don’t let the Docs screw up.
Good advice, John, though I’m well past the meds and surgical times stage. I was in the hospital for only about five hours.
After that, if I OD’d, it was =my= fault.
