Royo actually did =two= covers for Hardwired, the original Tor release and the Spanish translation.
On the cover of the Spanish book, a lush blonde (clearly the gold-haired, dark-browed model that Royo used on a lot of his works), dressed in the wispy remains of a negligee, is fording a river while carrying a complex, LED-rich automatic weapon. Near misses are splashing all around her.
Looks great! Still not quite what I envision a Panzer to look like, but very slick and clean. I like the emphasis on Cowboy.
Cool!
Wow. It’s really great, but do you worry it minimizez the feminine side of the book?
l.
You know what it needs? It needs a Delta flying in those clouds. 🙂
Oh, where did he get that coat? Nice.
I remember buying the iteration with the cover art channeling Scandal’s “I am the Warrior” video.
One of my favorite all time reads.
Meh…I think that Royo’s cover was better, although I still snicker when I see how literally he interpreted “a face like a succession of arrowheads”.

It was, umm, eye-catching. Definitely. Yes.
