Which is more than one can say about some truly hilarious LOTR slash fiction I’ve been pointed at. (You can google it yourself; I’m not going to post a link.)

Much of it seemed to be written by people who had never actually had sex. My guess is that they would put their energy into their actual sex lives if they actually had sex lives.

Or perhaps slash fiction can be viewed as a king of adult personal ad, looking for someone with similar tastes?

I suppose I should be charitable, however. Given my history, I should be the last person to question anyone’s hobby.

*Of course it’s by a scholar with an Elvish name, which makes one wonder.
